Caroline McKenna, LICSW

Caroline is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) providing individual and couples therapy. She supports clients through stressors and processing trauma, and assists them in tapping into self-discovery and internal resources. Caroline creates a safe and supportive environment where client's heal relational wounds, foster understanding and clarity, create closeness, and support themselves and their partners through change and growth.
Caroline received her graduate degree from the University of Chicago, Crown Family School of Social Work, Policy, and Practice. She completed a postgraduate training in family and couples therapy at the Ackerman Institute. She is certified in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for individuals and couples, and is pursuing certification in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). She also integrates Internal Family Systems and Polyvagal Theory into her practice.
Caroline and her family have had several overseas posts. Amid the trials and joys of living abroad, she understands the unique struggles and relational strains that arise when adjusting to a new setting for individuals, couples and families. Caroline also worked in the field of foster care and adoption and has experience supporting adoptive families.
